Air Transport Pilot LICENcE TEST

An Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) is the highest licence attainable in Australia. It allows the holder to pilot any Air Transport operation as Pilot in Command.


Aerosphere’s ATPL training course is designed to both satisfy the CASA Part 61 MOS requirements for the issue of a flight crew license and gives you the tools and skills to confidently sit your ATPL flight test.

Offered in the A320, B737, B787, SA226/227, Dash 8 and SAAB 340 for Type Rated Pilots.

KingAir B200 program available for pilots not holding an appropriate type rating.

Course details

  • Aerosphere’s ATPL Training course consists of the following:

    • Half day theory

    • 6 hour simulator training

    • ATPL test + Examiner Fee

    The course can be modified pending the candidates current experience levels. Contact us for more information.

  • Briefings will be completed by your experienced ATPL Instructor to ensure you have the tools required to satisfy the knowledge requirements specified in the Part 61 MOS

  • Available on request

  • Course duration is dependent on candidate experience and current type rating held.

  • To sit the ATPL Flight Test, you must:

    • Be 21 years old

    • Have a CPL or MPL with the same aircraft category rating

    • Have passed the ATPL theory examinations

    • Hold a Class 1 Medical Certificate or exemption from CASA

    • Hold a current English Language Proficiency Assessment

    • Meet minimum hour requirements dictated by CASA
